DEVELOPMENT AND CHARACTERIZATION OF VITAMIN B9 - ELECTROSPRAYED NON-WOVEN SURFACES FOR WOUND HEALING APPLICATIONS

نویسندگان

چکیده

In this study, novel wound dressing materials based on non-woven (NW) surfaces were developed using electrospraying (e-spraying) process. Polyester spunbond (PET SPB), polypropylene (PP and melt-blown MB) used as matrix, folic acid (FA), vitamin B9 sprayed these surfaces. The resulting NW fabrics with the same FA content investigated in terms of chemical, morphological, thermal, wettability properties. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy results showed formation physical interaction between NWs is successfully deposited onto average fiber diameters from 2.6 µm to 23.11 µm. According thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) loaded-PP SPB have enhaced thermal stability compared pure one SPB). FA-loaded hydrophobic property contact angles values more than >90°. in-vitro release was carried out by UV-Vis within 8 hour-period phosphate buffer saline (pH 7.2). indicated that a fast behaviour. total amounts PET SBP, PP MB found 22.8, 17.1, 17.5 ppm. Moreover, biocompatibility all assessed 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) neutral red uptake (NRU) cytotoxicity tests L929 cell lines. obtained biocompatible non-toxic material except SPB-sFA.The study can be potential candidates for healing applications.

Fabrication, Characterization, and Evaluation of Bionanocomposites Based on Natural Polymers and Antibiotics for Wound Healing Applications.

The aim of our research activity was to obtain a biocompatible nanostructured composite based on naturally derived biopolymers (chitin and sodium alginate) loaded with commercial antibiotics (either Cefuroxime or Cefepime) with dual functions, namely promoting wound healing and assuring the local delivery of the loaded antibiotic. Compositional, structural, and morphological evaluations were pe...
